Overview

Marie Curie-Sklodowska was one of the most brilliant scientists in history and a pioneer in every way: the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first to be a professor at the Sorbonne, the first to be awarded the Nobel Prize twice and, to this day, the only one to have won it in two different scientific areas.Marie was not only an exceptional scientist, she was also very brave and generous: during World War I, for example, she created the first mobile radiological units in history and traveled thousands of kilometers instructing radiology technicians so that they could help the soldiers. The importance of all her contributions to society is incalculable.
