Overview

You're cordially invited to LaVey House...

The reclusive Howard LaVey has presented writers Frederick Brandis, Aster Callahan, Rhiannon Hughes, and Mikhail Orlov with the opportunity of a lifetime: a chance to spend a week at his ominous estate and collaborate on a horror anthology.

Each of them hopes to get something out of it, ranging from riches to recognition, but egos flare and co-existing becomes a struggle as each writer battles against their own demons and self-doubts.

Soon enough, LaVey House turns out to be much more than they bargained for, and the chance of a lifetime quickly becomes a living nightmare as ancient spirits awaken and torment them at every turn.

Four writers, four stories, but the true horror lies buried within the dark hallways and forgotten secrets of LaVey House just waiting to live again!

The Summoning is an intense horror collaboration from the minds of Dr. Stuart Knott, Harriet Everend, and Jessica Huntley and featuring contributions from Alice Stone, Shantel Brunton, Tom Schnipke, and Daria Lavrenteva.

About the Author

Dr. Stuart Knott is a PhD graduate of De Montfort University, Leicester, who lives in Bedfordshire. He has been writing from an early age and published a number of books in addition to his academic accomplishments. Influenced by science fiction, horror, and action movies of the eighties and nineties, as well as comic books and videogames, he posts regular articles and reviews on his website, Dr. K’s Waiting Room. It also took him six attempts to pass his driving test.

Harriet Everend grew up in small-town Iowa, USA, and always had bigger dreams than staying in her hometown—so she ended up moving to the big city of Cedar Rapids. She had dreams of being a writer since she was twelve and obtained her B.A. in Marketing from Upper Iowa University in 2011. Cursed Legacy, her debut novel, was released in June 2021. Some of her hobbies include kayaking, scrapbooking, genealogy, drinking wine, and living life to the fullest potential.

Jessica Huntley wrote her first book at age six and wrote ten full-length fiction novels between the ages of ten and eighteen as a hobby. At age eighteen, she left her hobby behind and spent the next four and a half years as an Intelligence Analyst in the British Army. After leaving the army, Jessica became a mature student at Southampton Solent University and studied Fitness and Personal Training, and she still enjoys keeping fit and exercising daily. She is now a wife and a stay-at-home mum to a crazy toddler and lives in Edinburgh.
